Milford Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time and part-time Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team in Milford, PA
Milford Animal Hospital is currently seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant to join a multi-doctor hospital with an experienced Team Member base in a well-established hospital! We are located in Northeastern Pennsylvania, 1.5 hours from NYC. Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Restrain animals in order to perform examination and short medical procedures.
- Assist a veterinary technician in obtaining radiographs.
- Clean and sterilize surgical equipment and tools.
- Regularly changing kennel materials, bedding, etc.
- Ensure all cages and kennels are clean.
- Feed or withhold food and water from patients as appropriate for medical treatment.
- Weight patients at all encounters within the hospital.
- Assist in obtaining materials for testing: i.e. blood, urine and/or feces
- Apply bandages.
- Run in-house diagnostics for intestinal parasite screening.
- Run other in-house diagnostics under direct supervision of a technician.
- Staining and preparing slides for diagnostic testing
- Assist in maintenance of hospital equipment.
- Restocking of exam rooms
- Clean all areas of the hospital to ensure sanitary conditions for all patients under our care.
Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate with 1 to 3 years of experience who is well-versed in patient restraint and rooming appointments.
