Endoscopy

Benefits of Endoscopy in Veterinary Medicine

MAH routinely utilizes our endoscope as a minimally invasive tool to better diagnose and treat common conditions in pets. Endoscopes, once considered a tool of only specialty hospitals, provide our doctors with improved visualization and evaluation of the body systems including the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts. Removal of foreign bodies are seen all too often at our practice. Endoscopy offers them a non-surgical option and eliminates the pain associated with recovery from an abdominal incision. We commonly utilize it for evaluation of vomiting and diarrhea cases, tracheal examination, and the removal of nasal polyps.
